Betty Sue Billingsley, age 82, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Oakwood Community Living Center in Dyersburg.

Born on June 2, 1939 in Ripley, Tn to the late John W. and Birdie Buckner Connell. She was a homemaker and avid racecar fan.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, Sammy Billingsley (Marina) of Lakeland, TN; one daughter, Michelle Hoover (Sam Pate) of Arbyrd, MO; four grandchildren, Wesley Benedict, Gabe Walker, Christopher Billingsley and Isabel Billingsley; and six great-grandchildren, Keigan Grozinger, Mabry Benedict, Avarie Walker, Sawyer Benedict, Blakeleigh Myrick, and Allie Myrick.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Connell; three sisters, Evelyn Reynolds, Peggy Henson, and Shirley Alvarez; and her granddaughter, Kristyn Daniels.
