Beatrice Ligon Thurmon's Obituary
Beatrice Ligon Thurmon, 86, of Obion, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 at her residence.
She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church in Ridgely and a member of Ridgely Jr. Woman's Club.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home - Ridgely Chapel with Parks Thurmon and Ray B. Thurmon officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Hurtle G. Thurmon of Obion; three daughters, Pat Thurmon of Obion, June Gaulding of Atoka and Martha Helton of Hazleton, Penn.; a sister, Frances Crook of Franklin; five grandchildren, Troilyn Williams, Rob DeMotsis, Russ DeMotsis, Will Helton and Michael Helton; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Myra Hall Ligon.
Pallbearers will be Rob DeMotsis, Russ DeMotsis, Will Helton, Michael Helton, Nolan Gaulding and Paul Helton.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
