Bartelia Alford Ursery, 97, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.

She was born on December 14, 1920, in Friendship, TN, to the late Joseph Franklin Alford and the late Pearl Stanfill Alford. Bartelia was a retired registered nurse at West Tennessee Chest Disease Hospital and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Troy, TN.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, Phillip Ursery of Roswell, GA; a sister, Amy Hurt of Dyersburg; two brothers, Jerry Alford of Dyersburg and Bob Alford of Millington; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin York Ursery; a daughter, Susan Carol Ursery; and two sons, Richard Ursery and Joseph Michael Ursery.
