Barbara Childress Holt Williamson, 77, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at Baptist Hospital-East in Memphis.
She was retired from the Social Security Administration after 33 years of service, and a member of First Baptist Church, American Business Women's Association, Professional Secretaries International, and Union Mission Ladies Auxiliary.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. Carl D. Mills officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Doug Williamson of Dyersburg; two daughters, Carol Holt Crowder and husband, Mack, of Cordova and Amy Holt Sullivan and husband, Gene, of Bartlett; a stepdaughter, Anita Williamson Dudley of Bartlett; a stepson, Wayne Williamson and wife, Pam, of Niceville, Fla.; a sister, Mildred Holland of Kimberling City, Mo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Richard Burton Holt; her parents, Ira and Edna Earl Childress; and a sister, Doris Cooksey.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Williamson, Jeff Holt, James Robertson, James Gordon "Bing" Bingham III, Ralph Holt and Carl Minton. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Holt, Harold Holt, Walter Hastings, Kenneth Hughey, Roy Cook, Wayne Williamson and Grady Gentry.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
