Barbara Jean Tickle's Obituary
Barbara Jean Tickle, 59, of Jackson, formerly of Dyersburg, died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was a retired teacher for Westside Middle School in Jackson, attended Northside Baptist Church, 1969 graduate of Dyersburg High School, graduate of Dyersburg State Community College, where she served as a cheerleader, graduate of Memphis State University and received her Master's Degree from Union University.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Clyde Thompson officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her mother, Mertie Tickle of Dyersburg; a brother, Larry Tickle and wife, Jan, of Dallas, TX.; and three nephews, Daniel Tickle of Blacksburg, VA., Joseph Tickle and Adam Tickle, both of Dallas, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father, Theo Tickle.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
