Avanell Attaway, 77, of Dyersburg, died Friday, February 11, 2011 at The Highlands of Dyersburg.
She was a retired knitter with Dyersburg Fabrics, where she worked for over 30 years and was a Baptist.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Depew officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Attaway of Dyersburg; two daughters, Devona Attaway of Dyersburg and Penny Childrey and husband, Phillip, of Ridgely; two sons, Allen Attaway and wife, Danita, of Dyersburg and Brian Attaway and wife, Melissa, of Vacherie, LA.; five sisters, Margaret Lott of New Madrid, MO., Pat Hodge of Waverly, Martha Bell Robison of Sikeston, MO., Brenda Cook of Portageville, MO. and April Coffman of Cedar Grove; a brother, Milford Sumner of St. Louis, MO.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Diane Gladden; her parents, Earl and Beulah Nestler Sumner; a sister, Sandra Sumner; and two brothers, Larry Joe Sumner and Eugene Sumner.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Attaway, Preston Childrey, Phillip Childrey, Justin Attaway and D.C. Cook.
