Ashleigh Marie Rhodes Matteson, 53, of Franklin, TN, passed away August 22, 2022.

She was born in Memphis, TN on June 27, 1969 to Diane and James Norman Rhodes. She was raised in Tiptonville, TN near Reelfoot Lake. Ashleigh went to the University of Tennessee for three years before getting married and having her three children. She had a passion for early childhood education and worked as a preschool teacher and nanny. Ashleigh cared deeply for her friends and family. She was the type of person to make friends everywhere she went, often making friends in line at the grocery store. She greeted everyone with a smile and a big hug. She was funny, beautiful, fun, and had a huge heart. She was a great cook and always made enough to feed a crowd. Her sense of humor and love for others will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Tiptonville with Rev. Chip Davis officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the church.

She is survived by her parents, Norman & Diane Rhodes of Tiptonville, TN; a daughter, Jennifer Matteson of Antioch, TN; two sons, Will Matteson of Murfreesboro, TN and Chris Matteson of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Jim (Michelle) Rhodes of St. Albans, MO; a nephew, Trey Rhodes of Denver, CO; a niece, Hailey Rhodes of St. Albans, MO; extended family "brothers" Craig Smith of Tiptonville, TN and Todd Smith (Ren) of Milford, CT; a cousin, Christian Cole of Dyersburg, TN; her beloved dog, Bella; and many, many friends.

Ashleigh is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lyman & Alma Rhodes and Edward J. & Dorothy Lott.
