Obituary

Arthur Floyd "Sully" Sullivan, Jr., 82, Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Jackson General.

Born March 10, 1934, to the late Arthur Floyd Sullivan, Sr. and Cora Lee Stanford Sullivan. Sully was a retired grain dealer and was a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard. He was a Deacon and charter member of Three Oaks Baptist Church, a former Dyer County Commissioner, former President of the Dyer County Fair Association, and was also a former board member of the Northwest Dyersburg Utility District.

Services for Sully will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Three Oaks Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Phipps and the Rev. Brian Funderburk officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Sullivan Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Three Oaks Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Jane Anderson Sullivan of Dyersburg; a daughter, Debra Sullivan Gregory (Randy), of Dyersburg; two sons, Tommy Sullivan (Susan), of Milan, and Tim Sullivan (Shelia), of Dyersburg; a sister, Judy Hendrix (Darrell), of Dyersburg; six brothers, Presley Sullivan of Pueblo, CO, Riley Sullivan (Kay) of Jackson, Jimmie Sullivan (Lou) of Casa Grande, AZ, Lewis Sullivan (Liz), of Caseyville, IL, Ray Sullivan (Nondas), of Olive Branch, MS, and Johnny Sullivan (Linda), of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Shelby Wyrick of Dyersburg, Tom Sullivan (Juli) of Milan, Sam Sullivan (Jill) of Mt. Juliet, Jacob Sullivan (Amber), of Finley and Michael Gregory of Rutherford; a great-grandchild, Mikiah Hill; and two nephews, Steve and Jeff Sartin.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Eaton.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hollingsworth, George Hollingsworth, Bobby LaRue, Jerry Ring, David Ring, and Brad Studard. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Three Oaks Baptist Church.
