Annie Mae Powell, 83, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Diversicare of Martin.

Annie was born on October 6, 1938, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Ira L. and Lorene Russell Holloway. She was a teacher's aide at Margaret Newton Elementary School and attended Willingham Baptist Church. Annie grew up in the Hathaway Community of Lake County.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Rev. Danny O'Guin officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. The family will receive visitors starting at 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include her two sons, Gary Powell and wife, Julie, of Martin, TN and Michael Powell of Collierville, TN; one brother, James Holloway of Franklin, TN; four grandchildren, Laura, Stephen, Brad and Kayla; and eight great-grandchildren, Avery, Aiden, Levi, Annalise, Kinslee, E.J., Adonis and Amiyah.

In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Powell; two sisters, Mary Holder and Alice Rawls; a brother, Ira Holloway, Jr.; and a grandson, Ryan Powell.

Pallbearers will be Mike Henderson, Royce Holder, Jaxon Neil, Jimmy Leake, Jeff Ownby and Carleton Kidder.
