Obituary

Anita Weaver Armstrong, 84, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Anita was born on March 7, 1938, in Wynnburg, TN, to the late, M.C. and Lucille Roberson Weaver. She was a Lake County School Teacher and retired after 32 years of teaching. She was a graduate of Union University in 1960 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg. Anita enjoyed traveling, cross-stitching and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and friends and keeping up with them on Facebook.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022 in the Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Stone and Mr. Carl Mills officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Sherrell Armstrong of Dyersburg, TN; two sons, Sherrell Armstrong (Fonda) and David Armstrong (Amy), all of Dyersburg, TN; a daughter, Lorraine Harlan (David) of Chattanooga, TN; eight grandchildren, Caitlin Lomas (Will), Wilson Armstrong (Tori), Matthew Harlan, Annaleigh Armstrong, Faith Harlan, Lainey Armstrong, Jenna Claire Armstrong and Macey Armstrong; and one great-grandson, Warren Weaver Lomas.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Harlan, Wilson Armstrong, Will Lomas, Randy Brooks, David Gooch and Bill Boucher. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Rhodes, Bubba Tolar, David Roberson, Randy Roberson, Terry Roberson, Al Wade, Kent Patterson and Neal Smith.
