Amy Cecile Monday, a cherished Dietary Manager known for her dedicated service at Exceptional Care Nursing, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at the Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 15, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, Amy lived a life marked by unwavering devotion to her family, faith, and personal passions.

Amy’s professional journey in healthcare was distinguished by her commitment to quality and compassionate care, traits that deeply resonated with her colleagues and those she served. Beyond her role as a Dietary Manager, Amy was a woman of many loves and talents. A devout Catholic, she found solace and strength in her faith throughout her life. Her heart was captured by the rhythms of country and western music, and she delighted in the simple joys of dancing, reading, and spending blissful moments at the beach. Those who had the pleasure of sharing her company knew her as an exceptional cook, whose meals were crafted with love and enjoyed by family and friends alike.

Amy’s family meant the world to her, and she treasured the time spent with her loved ones. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Tracey Pratl, and her husband Anthony, who reside in Romeoville, Illinois. Amy’s family circle also includes her brother Warren “Bill” Monday and his wife Sherry of Illinois, along with her two sisters, Mari Jones and Laurie Palacious, both of Friendship, Tennessee. These living family members carry forward her legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Floyd and Cecile Jones Monday, and a brother, Floyd “Charley” Monday, whose memories remain ever present in the hearts of those who knew Amy.
