Amy Adelene Chambers, 92, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

She was born on November 8, 1926, in Jackson, TN, to the late Edgar and Amy Adams Hanna. Amy worked until the age of 89 as a safety traffic controller for the Dyersburg Police Department, where she worked for 30 years. She was an avid bowler for many years, was an artist and loved to crochet gifts for her family. Amy was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Wakefield officiating. Burial will be Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Chambers Edwards and husband, Phil, of Dyersburg, TN; a son, William Neal Chambers and fiancée, Debora, of Dyersburg, TN; a brother, Duward Hanna of Jackson, TN; three grandchildren, Jennifer Neal Edwards, Paige Edwards and Zachary Walden and wife, Gena; two great-grandchildren, Payton Hinson and Addy Grace Walden; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Chambers; two sisters, Mary Virginia Wakefield and Eunice Mae Wells; and a brother, Joe Neal Hanna.
