Amaryllis McDaniel Hooper, 81, of Newbern, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was the retired co-owner of Anna-Marie Youthland. Amaryllis was a member of Mt. Tirzah Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Deborah Thomas and husband, Jeff, of Newbern and Lee Ann Sikes and husband, Bobby, of Dyersburg; a son, John H. Hooper, Jr. of Newbern; a sister, Rosemere Bolton of Marked Tree, AR; six grandchildren, Emilee Thomas French and husband, Mike, Mary Kathryn Thomas, John H. Hooper III, Jane Robertson Hooper, Bobby Lynn Sikes II and wife, Jenny, and Lee Jay Sikes; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Hooper; and her parents, Doyle and Effie Wilson McDaniel.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Newbill, Lynn Sikes, Lee Jay Sikes, Mike French, Steve Ross and Mike Rose. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Newbill, Randall Harris and Jim Hall.
