Alvin Alford Quick, 87, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at his residence.

Alvin was born on June 9, 1934, in Ridgely, TN, to the late, Elmer and Effie Austin Quick. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of Willingham Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at New Haven Cemetery with Pastor Chuck Graham and Pastor David Gray officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Hoekstra (Tim) of Ridgely, TN; a son, Kirt Quick (Crystal) of Ridgely, TN; six grandchildren, Jacob Hutcheson, Jon Hutcheson, both of Dyersburg, TN, Kaitlyn Hester of Jackson, TN, Kyler Quick of Ridgely, TN, Alexis Mosley of Newbern, TN and Kane Wilson of Bogota, TN; and four great-grandchildren, Landon Hutcheson, Dawson Hutcheson, Axel Mosley and Caraline Heater.

In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Ray Quick; and a brother, Junior Quick.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Hutcheson, Jon Hutcheson, Kyler Quick, Kane Wilson, Jonathan Burns and Marshall Hall.
