Alvin Ray Dunevant, 69, of Newbern, TN passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.
He was born on January 8, 1949, in Dyersburg, TN. Alvin was the former owner of Catfish Corner, the Western Store, BD&W Equipment and Farmers Ag. He attended Emmaus Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Church Grove Cemetery with the Rev. James Hooper officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Alice Barham Dunevant of Newbern; a daughter, Amy Dunevant Adams and husband, Scott, of Dickson; a son, Alan Dunevant of Newbern; and four grandchildren, Blake Dunevant, Austin Dunevant, Aaron Dunevant, and Taylor Adams.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Dunevant; and a sister, Marie Hughes.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Barham, Mike Hampton, Bill Hadden, Tim Castellaw, Heath Ennis and Ricky Rogers.
