Obituary

Alton Earl Tinkle, 60, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at his residence.

He was a retired truck driver and a member of Northside Church of Jesus Christ.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Northside Church of Jesus Christ with the Rev. Ray Winstead officiating. Burial will be in Bellevernon Cemetery in Friendship. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Bonita Griffin Tinkle of Dyersburg; three daughters, Angela Tinkle, Rhonda Tinkle Dennis and Dena Tinkle Clark, all of Dyersburg; a son, Brian Myles of Gates; his mother, Dimple Quinn and Daddy Elbert Quinn; a sister, Arlene Cantrell and husband, Jim, of Dyersburg; a brother, Roy Matthew Quinn and wife, Alicia, of Dyersburg; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Earl Tinkle; and a sister, Paulette Tinkle Ray.

Pallbearers will be Brian Myles, Darrin Hall, Austin Dennis, Zachary Dennis, Briar Clark, Dylan Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be David O'Dell and Stan Marsh.
