Allen Ray Ethridge, 78, of Ossian, IN, formerly of Tiptonville, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN.

He was a retired journeyman printer for Western Litho Plate. Ray was also a member of Calvary Independent Baptist. He served his Country by joining the National Guard.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Calvary Independent Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Southerland and the Rev. James Waymire officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 3-8 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joyce Davis Ethridge of Ossian, IN; two daughters, Sherry Ethridge Bise and husband, Van, of Ossian, IN and Kimberly Ethridge McAdoo and husband, James, of Bluffton, IN; a son, Stanley Ray Ethridge of Texas; two sisters, Rachel Stewart of St. Louis, MO and Russie Evans of Newbern; a brother, Ronnie Ethridge of Tyler, TX; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Ada Bivens Ethridge; nine brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Haggard, Jake Bloomfield, Andy Bise, Dillon McAdoo, Mitch Peterson and Daniel Deevers.
