Alice Moore Burks, 91, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at her residence.
She was retired as secretary for the District Attorney's office and a member of First Baptist Church, Fidelis Sunday school class, Key Corner Chapter of DAR, and Dyersburg Women's Club.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. David Willard and the Rev. Jeff Land officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Burks Drake and husband, Roy, of Bartlett; two sons, Edward Burks and wife, Darlene, of Dyersburg and Dent Burks and wife, Myra, of Royal, Ark.; a sister, Macy Williamson of Memphis; four grandchildren, Matthew Burks, Laura McGill, Abbey Land and Ava Aycock; a step-grandchild, A.J. Bacigalupo; and a great-grandchild, Reed Land.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve Edward Burks Jr.; her parents, Cecil and Mary Foute Moore; and a brother, C.U. Moore Jr.
