Alfred N. McKee, 86, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Alfred was born on June 1, 1937, in Dyer County, TN, to the late Kizarah Jeff McKee and Leota Ramsey McKee. He was a retired sheet metal mechanic and was a member of the Independent Free Holiness Church. Alfred's passion was music. He played in churches and when he was younger, he played backup for many bands at Sun Records Studio, including the Oak Ridge Boys, Chet Atkins, Stella Parton and many more. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching wildlife.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, LaDonna Griffin and husband, Robert, of Dyersburg, TN; three grandchildren, Jason Griffin, Brenda Griffin and Joshua Reeves; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by his wife, Hester Fay McKee; a son, Jerry Michael McKee; a daughter, Patricia Alexander; and three brother and one sister.
