Alberta Turner, 100, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Alamo Nursing & Rehab Center in Alamo, TN.

Alberta was born on April 12, 1921 in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Cas V. and Elizabeth Norton Hendrix. She was a housewife and a member of the First Assembly of God. She loved sewing, cooking, embroidery and taking care of her family and gardening.

Funeral services for Alberta Turner will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home conducted by Bro. Gene Stafford. Interment will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Kelley (Tommy) and Liz Slaughter (Willie) both of Dyersburg, TN; five grandchildren, Tracy McMinn (Wade), Lisa Davis (Scott), Lanissa Cunningham, Kim Koonce (David) and Jeff Garrett; 14 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Turner; one son, Michael Eugene Turner; three brothers, Homer Hendrix, Reuben Hendrix and N.C. Hendrix; and two sisters, Zora Lee Whitt and Flossie Malugen.

Pallbearers will be Wade McMinn, David Koonce, Zack Armstrong and Josh Dorris.
