Alaina Katherine Gant, 16, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

She was born on July 11, 2002 in Dyersburg, TN. Alaina was a student at Dyer County High School, where she was a member of the soccer team. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ridgely and was also a member of the youth group at Cottonwood Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Ridgely with the Rev. Paul Adams and the Rev. Mickey Hanks officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the church.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Amanda and Kent Patterson of Ridgely; her father, Mike Gant of Ridgely; a brother, Forrest Patterson of Ridgely; her grandparents, Tony and Wanda Leake and Doug and Brenda Gant, all of Ridgely; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and her cat, Bella.

Pallbearers will be Ty Wray, Hayden Hutcheson, Cameron Hutcheson, Joshua Holder, Braxton Holder, Paine Keiser, Tucker Rivers, Chris Dunn and Blake Holder.

Memorials may be directed to the Youth Fund at Cottonwood Baptist Church or to the Youth Fund at Ridgely First Baptist Church.
