Dr. Joseph E. Robinson, Jr. was born June 4, 1944 to Joseph & Gladys Robinson in Pittsburgh, PA. There he earned an associate degree from Allegheny Technical Institute. After marrying his high school sweetheart, now Dr. Phyllis Robinson, and raising their children, he attended college and seminary. He earned a BA in theology, a Masters in Business Administration, a Doctorate of Ministry, a Doctor of Divinity as well as an honorary doctorate of Humanities.
He served on mission and evangelism fields throughout the United States, Canada, Haiti and Korea. God has also allowed him to serve several years as chaplain in prison ministry. He served as a board member and taught at Vision Christian Bible College and Seminary.
In July of 2005 God called Dr. Robinson to begin a bible study in their home which today is the church known as God's Place. Pastor Joe believed no matter what your station is in life, God expects us to use our gifts, talents and abilities for His service. It is to the ministry of God's Place that he was called, for the equipping of the saints for His glory.
Pastor Joe went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2013. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Gladys Robinson, and brothers, Carlton and Roland. He is preceded by his sister Dorothy.
